Micro Suction Ear Wax Removal

Micro suction is a safe and effective method for ear wax removal. Using a fine-tip, single-use sterile suction tube connected to a suction apparatus, I gently insert the cannula into the ear canal to remove the wax.

For hard wax and dead skin, I might use additional instruments to assist in the process. The entire procedure for both ears typically takes about 30 minutes and is designed to be as comfortable as possible.

I understand that excessive ear wax can affect individuals of all ages, which is why I offer treatment for children aged 5 and above. I provide domiciliary visits for patients who are housebound or have full-time carers, although this service is available to everyone.

Ear Irrigation

Ear irrigation is a commonly used technique for ear wax removal that is usually painless. The process involves squirting lukewarm water into the ear canal, which helps to dislodge and remove the softened ear wax plug. Ear irrigation is effective in cleaning the ear canal and providing relief from symptoms of blocked ears and hearing loss.

Manual Ear Wax Removal

Manual ear wax removal involves the use of specialised tools to carefully remove ear wax from the outer part of the ear canal. This method can be particularly helpful for physically lifting solid and deeply lodged ear wax. Often, manual removal is used in conjunction with other, more advanced techniques to ensure thorough and effective ear cleaning.
